By accessing the Platform or submitting a waitlist application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use the Platform. Contractors applying to the waitlist must hold or be applying under a valid Florida DBPR license and represent that all submitted information is accurate and current.
2. The Service
NEFL Pros provides a directory of licensed, insured home service contractors across Northeast Florida and operates an early-access waitlist for contractors seeking a verified listing. We verify contractor licenses against public Florida DBPR records and may confirm insurance coverage. The Platform is intended to connect homeowners with verified professionals; it is not a construction contractor, broker, or party to any agreement between homeowners and contractors.
3. Contractor Listings & Verification
- Contractors are responsible for providing truthful, current information, including an active Florida DBPR license number and valid insurance details.
- A "verified" badge indicates that we have checked public DBPR records at the time of listing. Verification does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of a contractor's work quality, financial stability, or ongoing license status.
- Contractors must promptly notify us of any change to license status, insurance, ownership, or contact information.
- We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or remove any listing that fails verification, violates these Terms, or receives credible complaints.
4. No Warranty or Endorsement
NEFL Pros does not warrant the performance, reliability, or fitness of any contractor listed on the Platform. All listings are provided "as is." Homeowners are strongly encouraged to independently verify active license status at myfloridalicense.com, request proof of insurance, check references, and obtain written contracts before hiring. NEFL Pros is not a party to any contract between a homeowner and a contractor and accepts no liability for work performed.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information on the waitlist form
- Use another contractor's license, identity, or credentials
- Misrepresent insurance coverage, certifications, or service areas
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute directory data without permission
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
6. Homeowner Use
Homeowners may use the directory to find and contact verified contractors. Any hiring decision, negotiation, pricing, and performance of work is solely between the homeowner and the contractor. NEFL Pros is not responsible for the outcome of any such engagement.
7. Intellectual Property
The NEFL Pros name, logo, website content, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Contractors retain ownership of their business names, marks, and submitted content, and grant us a limited license to display that content as part of their listing. You may not use our trademarks or content without prior written permission.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NEFL Pros and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or business, arising from your use of the Platform, any listing, or any contractor engagement, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NEFL Pros and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your misrepresentation of license, insurance, or business information.
10. Third-Party Links & Content
The Platform may link to third-party sites, including myfloridalicense.com and contractor websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, accuracy, or practices.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform, remove listings, or cancel waitlist applications at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Northeast Florida.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material updates will be reflected by changing the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
